Hey Everyone
New track this week is one that didn't make it onto Black Entertainment called Cicada. It was version 1 of what ended up as Defender, the track with the lawnmower outro that pissed off the music critics. You'll be happy to know that the lawnmower is still there but I didn't add the wind sounds yet... Full description on the blog.
Also, I did a solo version of White Limousine, our instrumental track off BE. You can watch it HERE.

The Doyle Brothers

Being an ice cream lover And a local music supporter I noticed this local music CD for sale at Anderson's and decided to buy a copy to feature on my blog.
The Doyle Bros. are excellent singers and musicians, this cover CD contains some great old classics, slightly reworked with fairly hip new arrangements and sung in a slightly "emo"/John Mayer type style which should please the young and old alike, particularly those of the female persuasion.
My fave track is #7, "Summertime (Doin Time)" which is a cover of a "Sublime" song.
All the songs groove along nicely and are pleasant to listen to.
The Doyle Brothers are selling their CD and playing at select Anderson's this summer, I believe all the proceeds from the CD sales goto charity.

The most American sounding Rock n' Roll band isn't from America. The Right Ons are, in fact, from from Madrid, Spain - and sing entirely in English. Drawing heavily on the Detroit Garage Sound, as well as funk and soul from the 60s and 70s, the band's energetic live show has become legendary on the festival circuit in Spain.
